Why am I not able to return furniture items?
All Bunny & Clyde furniture is made to order to the specific design and finish chosen by you. Accordingly these are goods made to your specification. All furniture sales are final.
What happens if my order is damaged in transit?
Even though items are packaged properly, transit-related damage can occur. All Bunny & Clyde shipments are insured. When an order arrives, please inspect it carefully and notify us within 24 hours of any damage as thereafter, you become the owner of the goods and accept liability for any loss or damage. If you notice any damage to the boxes or items inside the boxes, please notify us immediately (within 24 hours) via email at email@example.com for further instructions. Claims will require original packaging and the following digital photos:
- A picture of the complete outside of the box, clearly showing the parcel label
- A picture of the opened box, clearly showing the content and the interior packing
- A picture of the complete size of the article
- A detailed picture (close-up) of the concrete damage of the article.
We will do everything we can to assist you with your claim.
Please note that if you have chosen to appoint your own courier, you are responsible for insuring your items against loss or damage. Bunny & Clyde will not be held responsible for any claims against loss or damage where you have appointed your own carriage.
Is it possible to appoint my own carrier to deliver my furniture?
Yes it is. Please see our shipping and returns policy or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Please make sure you have adequate insurance in place when appointing your own courier as Bunny & Clyde will accept no claims against loss or damage where you have arranged your own carriage.
Where do you deliver?
We can deliver to any destination around the world. We currently offer FREE DELIVERY to Ireland and UK mainland addresses. For destinations outside of Ireland and the UK (mainland) please contact us and we will provide you with a quotation for delivery as soon as possible. If you would like to order accessories from us and your destination is not listed for delivery, please contact us and we will gladly provide you with a quotation for delivery options available to you. How long will it take for you to manufacture the furniture items?
Production times for our furniture are 6-12 weeks from the date of order.
Please note that we take the ‘order date’ as the date on which the payment is received. All our Bunny & Clyde nursery furniture ranges are handmade in Ireland and made-to-order. Other than certain accessories, we do not keep any items in stock. We will notify you as soon as your order is ready for delivery and aim to deliver your order within the 6-12 week lead-time.

How do I care for my wooden furniture?
Cleaning Your Wooden Furniture
Always clean your wooden furniture with a clean damp, but not wet, cloth and always use a dry cloth immediately after to dry up excess moisture.
Never use products that have harsh or abrasive chemical contents as these will damage your wooden furniture and strip the wood of its protective finish.
We recommend dusting your furniture regularly with a lint free cloth.
A natural beeswax / vegetable polish may be applied once or twice a year but avoid silicone polishes as the build up of silicon will alter the appearance of the wood.
If the wood surface has been painted, we recommend the same cleaning methods, however, if necessary, you may use a small amount of mild detergent (such as washing up liquid) to clean sticky or dirty marks, and work small sections at a time.
Do not use oil or polish containing oil on painted surfaces.
Avoid spilling any liquids onto your furniture as they may stain or affect the finish if not immediately attended to. Spills should be removed immediately with a dry cloth.
Sunlight and Heat
Avoid exposing your furniture to any excessive heat sources such as in front of radiators as this can cause cracking.
Direct sunlight will cause the colour of real wood to change, even if it has been finished with a specialist product. This will be particularly apparent if placed under a window.
Never place hot dishes or cups directly onto wooden surfaces without the use of a protective mat.
Take care when moving the furniture. Dragging pieces across the floor may cause damage to the joints, dropping furniture onto corners or feet may also cause damage. Always lift into position and lower carefully.
Take care to prevent sharp objects coming into contact with your furniture as scratching may occur.
If your furniture becomes stained, scratched or chipped or suffers other damage we recommend you contact us or seek professional help.
What should I know about hand crafted solid wood furniture?
Handcrafted pieces should be seen as works of art. Individual craftsmen labour to express the excellence of their skills. The slight variations and imperfections of crafting by hand make each piece unique and this lends itself to a nostalgic character.
Solid wood is an extraordinary and beautiful natural material. No two pieces of wood are the same. Its’ colour, texture and grain are as individual as a person’s personality. As a natural element, there are things that you should know and expect from your real hardwood furniture:
Natural Occurring Characteristics such as knots and variations in grain, colour, and texture are a part of every piece of wood. These characteristics are what make each piece unique.
Natural Movement will occur with all wood products. Wood will expand and contract with seasonal moisture level changes. This may give the appearance of surface checks and fine cracks – often around the knots of the wood. This should not be seen as a defect. Quality craftsmanship will make allowances for this movement, and it in no way affects the structural strength and integrity of the furniture.
Natural Colour Changes will occur to wood with exposure to both natural and artificial light.
It is our opinion that these characteristics, variations and slight imperfections serve only to enhance the beauty of the pieces. Every item of furniture will be a unique piece made exclusively for you.
Natural products displaying any of these characteristics are not defective and cannot be exchanged for the same item.
